Condensation
Water dropelets that form when warm moist air cools. Think about a cold glass of soda that "sweats". Condensation droplets form
when the cold can is surrounded by warmer air.

Evaporation
Heated water that changes from a liquid to water vapor which rises. Have you ever seen a puddle of water after a rain shower? As the sun shines it shrinks and disappears. The puddle disappears because the water is changed to water vapor that rises into the air.
Precipitation
Water falling from a cloud in the form of rain, snow, ice, or hail.
Transpiration
Plants have water inside their leaves and stems. Grass has water in the blades. When water vapor is released from plants we call that transpiration. Transpiration is a type of evaporation. The picture to the right shows dew on grass. Water droplets have formed and will evaporate in the hot sun. Water in the blades of grass will also evaporate as the grass dries out.
